This Sales Strategy Manager  role is a hybrid of traditional jobs in sales analytics and operations, market analysis, sales optimization and business operational support.  This is a high performance team chartered with assisting CEO and CRO in driving the business forward. This involves providing a mix of sound statistical analysis combined with practical data management development.


Deliverables take the form of recommendations on go-to-market plans, segmentation, sales coverage and investment prioritization.  Operationally, the focus will be on forecasting, trend analysis, business performance tracking, and formulation of actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will work very closely with executives to own drive various cross-functional initiatives.  
                                                                                                                    

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the sales coverage model for Salesforce.org for a specific business unit
- Analyze the health of the business and present recommendations to senior management for strategic decision making and investment.  In some cases, take ownership and drive execution of strategic initiatives by working very closely with business leaders.  
- Own the annual and long range sales planning process
- Work cross-functionally to assist in the development of go-to-market strategies for new geographies, products and market segments.
- Drive rigorous sales execution and oversight, ensuring accurate forecasts and total transparency
- Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of Sales
- Design and interpret key performance metrics, and craft plans to address pronounced weakness
- Identify untapped market potential; design and implement sales plans to capture it


Desired Skills/Experience:

- 3+  years of work experience in sales, sales management, sales strategy or equivalent function with significant exposure to sales teams, OR experience in management consulting with strong exposure to B2B go-to-market strategy
- Proven analytical experience
- Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results to easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations
- Very strong executive presence and engagement skills
- Highly collaborative style with strong influence skills
- Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency and prioritization.
- Assertiveness, directness, and a “company first” mentality
- Sales experience, preferably technology-related, is valued, but not required
- BS/BA required; MBA a plus, but not required
- Fluency in written and spoken business English
