Program Manager, Education Initiatives
Position Description:
Salesforce.org is seeking a driven and qualified individual to serve as a Program Manager, Education Initiatives. The ideal individual will have proven experience in managing education programs, and/or exceptional program and project management skills in other relevant areas. The role will manage Salesforce.org's education programs.
The Program Manager, Education Initiatives manages Salesforce.org's education programs, which currently focus on expanding STEM-based opportunities to underserved populations (such as minorities and girls), including maintaining current programmatic activities and is responsible for contributing to the growth of Salesforce.org's education initiatives in close partnership with key stakeholders and partners. While much of the programmatic work currently takes place in San Francisco, this person will help to codify headquarters-based programs to support scale and replication across other Salesforce locations, both in the US and globally (ex. School tours, Circle the Schools).
Program Management: Education Programs
· Manages the ongoing operations of Salesforce.org education programs programs and their related operations and activities; manages grant funding deliverables and program budgets.
· Oversees programmatic work related to Salesforce.org education programs, including managing Circle the Schools partner leads, managing logistics and coordination of school tours program.
· Develops, maintains, and coordinates a network of key internal and external stakeholder partnerships, as necessary, to effectively manage, operate and promote Salesforce.org's education programs; cultivates and develops new strategic partnerships, as needed.
· Executes comprehensive marketing and communications in partnership with the Salesforce.org's Marketing team, including producing a quarterly newsletter. Plans and executes large scale programs and related events.
· Identifies and develops essential key performance metrics for education programs reporting; works closely with Monitoring and Evaluation manager to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and in the Salesforce app.
· Collaborates with internal stakeholders to build systems and processes to streamline program management and consider growth and scale, both in headquarters and in other Salesforce locations.
· Supports Employee Engagement Managers in creating and facilitating education-focused volunteer activities.
· Partners with regional Salesforce.org employees and leadership to ensure programmatic cohesiveness.
· Creates materials, toolkits, and trainings to document current programs in order to support the scaling and/or replication of programs in other markets. Supports team members in operationalizing programs in other locations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must be an exceptional project manager, paying careful attention to details and seamlessly managing and prioritizing multiple projects at any given time.
· Must have experience working in or with schools

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's (or other advanced) degree in areas related to business, adult education, career/vocational education, higher education, higher education administration, or related field
· 3-6 years experience in program and project management and working with education programs organizations or other similar/relevant organizations
· Education program management and school-level coordination experience
· Knowledge of STEM orgs, especially those geared towards underrepresented populations (minorities and girls), and/or related industry groups
· Experience leading and managing multiple projects at once and tracking and reporting progress to a variety of audiences
· Experience with Salesforce.com solutions
· Ability to plan and execute programs and related events

· Must be a good communicator, able to establish relationships quickly and form strong partnerships, including building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with highly diverse stakeholders.
· Experience in building partnerships without formal authority or reporting structure.
· Experience in establishing partnerships and collaborations with business, industry, and public agencies in education programs and training projects required.
· Experience in working with K-12 students required (teaching, coaching, mentoring, etc.).
· Ability to effectively present information in various settings.
