Japan Payroll Operations includes payroll vendor and timely salary payment management. Role Description:
The Payroll Analyst position supports a complex Payroll organization managing global locations with local third party vendor support. Responsibility is for the entire payroll process from preparing the monthly payroll changes to reconciliation of the calculation results and completing the payments. The person in this role will also maintain the payroll database and update formulas in the payroll system. Members executing well in this position may be invited to participate in global and regional projects supporting streamlined scalable processes.

Your Responsibilities:

- Prepare monthly payroll schedules and share with payroll vendor
- Prepare monthly change data and provide to payroll vendor
- Review monthly payroll report and reconcile payroll change affects on payroll calculations
- Analyze variances and describe the root cause of payroll discrepancies
- Payroll-related new hire and termination processes
- Manage review of communication portals and provide best in class customer service support
- Keep logs and attach original files for monthly transactions including approval process on internal systems required by compliance
- Manage and audit set up of international assignee tax withholding
- Represent Japan in payroll-related global projects through to system implementation
- Cross-train and support RSU and ESPP processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of payroll-specific experience

- 所得税、社会保険の基礎知識
- 社会人経験5〜10年まで
- コミュニケーション能力
- Strong knowledge of general payroll practices and year end tax adjustment processes
- Knowledge of social insurance administration and income tax
- Must be proficient working with payroll systems that integrate or interface with other systems (Workday and ADP products preferred)
- Track record in issue identification and resolution
- Process improvement experience
- Must be a team player and able to support multiple projects simultaneously
- Fast adopting skill to new process and systems
*ATTENTION: Both Fluent Japanese and Business level English language skills are a must
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's (Undergraduate) degree
- Hands-on work experience in payroll outsourcing company or at a foreign affiliated company as a Payroll Processing Analyst
- Equity (stock/options) knowledge such as RSU and ESPP
