Salesforce's Innovation Center (SIC) is the epicenter of Salesforce's executive engagement strategy. We deliver immersive experiences that enable us to better understand our customers' needs and map them to inspiring outcomes. As a key member of the SIC Content Strategy team, the Presentation Designer will partner with our SIC strategists, top executives and subject matter experts to develop powerful presentations that elevate and advance our most strategic customer relationships.
For the right candidate, this represents an opportunity to play a key role in an exciting new phase of the SIC's evolution within the Salesforce Office of Innovation, as the premier space to directly engage C-level customers and move them along their journey of digital transformation.
The Content Designer is an expert graphic designer, design thinker, and communicator, applying best practices & imagination to deliver forward-looking content and experiences that inspire CXO's and Trailblazers to begin transformative journeys of growth and change.
Responsibilities:
· Create beautiful visuals that support world-class stories and reinforce product messaging
· Translate complex requirements, user needs, technical requirements into designs that are visually enticing, easy to understand, and emotionally engaging
· Work with key Salesforce executives, SIC strategists and subject matter experts to develop and customize presentations for each customer executive team that visits the SIC
· Extend existing design assets to customize the SIC experience for specific industries and lines of business
· Develop and curate evergreen and modular design elements for the SIC Content Library
· Be custodian for presentation content quality and consistency across SIC engagements, in alignment with Salesforce brand and Office of Innovation voice and style
· Collaborate across the company to source content to align with the goals of the SIC and stay abreast of new thought leadership and corporate messaging coming from other teams
· Continually research and consider the customer's perspective as well as the speaker's to guide presentation quality
· Communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale visually and verbally
· Strategic design roadmap development of the SIC content program
· Consulting on best practice design principles
· Planning, designing, building and documenting design systems
· Design and development of presentation decks and materials for the SIC
· Thought leadership around design innovation, ideation and design led strategies
· Actively participate in developing and evolving the SIC Content Program
· Actively participate in the design community here at Salesforce
Experience, Qualities and Qualifications
BA or equivalent undergraduate degree required. At least 3 years of experience at a design and/or innovation consultancy, creative agency, or similar.
· Portfolio demonstrating broad ranging design projects, highlighting involvement and process.
· Proven track record in crafting innovative, compelling storytelling and thought leadership presentations around technology
· Advanced Google Slides, PowerPoint, and Apple Keynote skills; Adobe Creative Cloud (esp. Illustrator, Photoshop) required. Website CMS and prepress layout skills a plus
· Deep understanding of fundamental visual design disciplines (typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, etc.); able to create beautiful, dynamic, functional designs
· Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines
· Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage professionally with executives; committed to the highest standards of design best practices, English language business usage and Salesforce lexicon
· Enthusiasm for Salesforce's unique Trailblazer brand and industry-leading Ohana design standard and culture
· Ability to keep calm under pressure, make progress autonomously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
· Tolerance for ambiguity and rapidly evolving projects/objectives on a fast-moving, nimble team
· Imaginative and generative with ideas, with the confidence to pitch and receive critique from team members and executives
· Design thinker who approaches design as a disciplined process, seeks regular feedback to inform multiple iterations, adapts readily to change and drives with focus toward the team's objective
