About the job
The Technical department supports new product development and the technical needs of British Gypsum.
We also support new product development in our sister companies globally.
Delivery of R&D projects on time and to budget
Job Accountabilities
Lead and contribute to projects in the R&D portfolio
Liaise with marketing and business units to propose future projects
Develop innovative products and solutions to fulfil the future needs of the global business
To capture knowledge around the performance of our products
To rapidly generate ideas harnessing available resources and turn ideas into prototypes that can be tested.
Develop a network that draws knowledge available within Saint-Gobain R&D centres, business units, other industries and academia to generate ideas and improve performances
Location: East Leake
Travel: Some National and International
About you

For this role, it's essential that you have:
Min degree level in an experimental discipline essential
Evidence of a hands on flexible approach essential
Experience of scientific research methodologies essential, including literature survey, idea generation and prototyping
It'd also be great if you have:
Relevant industrial experience including cross functional working, continuous improvement activities and networking in an international organisation desirable.
