Job Description
We are Safran Helicopter Engines Germany GmbH, a global manufacturer of gas turbine engines and wholly owned subsidiary of Safran Helicopter Engines S.A.S., in Bordes, France. In Hamburg, we provide customer service and marketing to many countries in Central, Northern, and Eastern Europe, as well as Central Asia. The geographical area we serve contains over 300 customers with almost 2,200 engines in total. Our customer portfolio is divided into two large segments: civilian and military.

At our facility in Hamburg, a team of 70 individuals is driving our development and growth every day. This summer, we are excited to relocate to a new state-of-the-art facility just outside of Hamburg. Spanning 6,000 square meters, this new location is a testament to our commitment to sustainable growth. Equipped with solar panels, a green roof, and an energy-efficient heating and cooling system, we are striving to achieve climate-neutral operations in Norderstedt. Furthermore, our workspace is designed for maximum efficiency and comfort, outfitted with modern furniture to foster creativity and productivity.
As part of an international aviation group, we thrive in an innovative, expanding work environment enriched by a robust multicultural heritage. Starting October 1st, 2025, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join us as a VIE in Internal Communication for a two-year experience. In this role, you will help shape and enhance our communication strategy and take charge of organizing our internal events.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communication
• Develop and implement communication plans to foster engagement and information sharing within the organization
• Create and manage content for internal communication (newsletter, intranet, internal videos…)
• Partner with the HR department to develop effective employer branding and communication tools.
External communication
• Help organize and manage local external events and content like trade shows, newsletters, and press releases, working with Safran Helicopter Engines (globally).
• Collaborate with the Corporate Communication team to ensure consistent messaging.
• Lead our digital communication efforts by being an E-ambassador in the One Connection Safran program. Suggest ways to improve our presence on LinkedIn and energize company engagement.
• Regularly update our web page on the corporate site
Event Planning and Execution
• Collaborate in the planning and organization of monthly events (meetings, workshops, celebrations, team breakfasts, etc.) ensuring memorable experiences.
• Ensure events are executed smoothly.
• Supervise the Event Committee (7 people) on a weekly basis.
Project Support
• Contribute to various communication-related projects and initiatives, offering strategic and operational support.
• Gather feedback and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and events
Job Requirements
• Academic background in Communication, Business, Marketing or another relevant field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. German is appreciated. French is a plus.
• Excellent social skills, ability to embark others.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive and creative thinker, with attention to details.
• Previous experience in internal communication or event planning is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva. Any video editing skill will be considered.

V.I.E stands for Volontariat à l'International en Entreprise, offering you a chance to work abroad with a French company for 6 to 24 months. If you're aged 18 to 28 and are French or a citizen of the EEA, you can apply. As a V.I.E, you'll have the backing of the French Embassy and support from Business France.
Requirements to undertake a V.I.E. position:
• Be at least 18 years old and under 28 at the time of your application submission. Your mission must start before your 29th birthday, with contracts starting on the 1st of the month.
• Hold citizenship from France or a European Union country.
• Comply with your country's national service requirements, including holding a defense ID number if necessary.
• Maintain a clean criminal record.
• Commit fully to your V.I.E assignment, which means no part-time jobs, entrepreneurial ventures, studies, or other paid activities during this period.
• Sign the letter of appointment with Business France that outlines your responsibilities and rights during your assignment.
