Job description
• Prepare and validate punching process methods: tooling strategy, nesting considerations, hit strategy/sequence (as applicable), and part support strategy to prevent deformation.
• Support setup readiness: correct tool selection, tool condition checks, stripper/die clearance checks (as applicable), lubrication and material handling readiness.
• Ensure punch process documentation is updated as required (setup sheets, tooling lists, control plan points, key characteristics when applicable).
Candidate skills & requirements
-Diploma or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Metal Fabrication, or related field.
-Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal punching operations, including troubleshooting and support for machine setup.
-Direct experience with AMADA and/or TRUMPF punch press machines is required, including offline program creation and at-machine program modification.
-Strong ability to read drawings and understand tolerances (basic GD&T knowledge is an advantage).
-Knowledge of punch tooling types, tool wear behavior, burr control, and deburring requirements.
-Ability to perform offline punching programming and at-machine program adjustments with strong safety awareness and compliance to approved procedures.
-Understanding of program version control and linkage to drawing/work order revisions.
-Good knowledge of measurement tools and inspection of punched parts.
-Demonstrated troubleshooting capability and strong communication skills to work effectively with Production, Quality, and Industrialization.
-Aerospace manufacturing experience (sheet metal fabrication and punching processes) will be an advantage.
-Good English communication skills (reading/writing/Speaking basic technical documents and coordinating cross-functional activities) will be an advantage.
