Job description
Job Description:
• Review and process Purchase Requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure all Purchase Orders are processed in a timely manner and at the best price available to meet the requester's time frames
• Conduct price negotiations when no contract applies, in line with overall procurement strategy
• Resolve operational issues such as delivery delays, quality discrepancies, incorrect shipments and invoicing matters
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal controls, policies and audit requirements
• Coordinate delivery schedules with internal teams, including long lead-time purchases
• Ensure that purchases are cost-effective and meet quality requirements
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure continued quality and timely shipments
• Support initiatives to optimize lead times, reduce costs and enhance supplier quality
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to support business needs
• Track and improve departmental KPIs, including enhancing existing metrics and developing new reporting tools
• Provide operational support to commodity buyers
Candidate skills & requirements
Requirements:
• Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 3 – 5 years of experience in procurement or a similar role, preferably in indirect purchasing
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• ERP systems management
• Proactive, organized with attention to detail and accuracy
• Focus on administrative tasks
• Effective communication skills and relationship management
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with data visualization and automation tools (e.g., Power BI) is an advantage
