Job Description

1) OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
Participate as a valuable member of the Supply Chain group by working directly with an assigned mentor to complete an assigned project.
2) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Assist with the creation and implementation of various Supply Chain procedures.
B. Extract data from the operating system to use for supply chain analysis (inventory forecasts, stock parameters, MRP settings).
C. Contact suppliers to help with the supply or follow-up of information (supply development and monitoring).
D. Organize information and prepare presentation documents.
E. Lead and / or participate in cross functional projects.
F. Gain understanding of MRP parameters, interfaces, operations to participate in recommendations for adjustments.
G. Process mapping for interdepartmental projects (Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Operations, etc).
H. Lead and/or participate in logistics and stock strategies for both internal and external flows.
I. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Job Requirements
3) QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A) Knowledge and Skills:
I. Strong written and oral communication skills.
II. Actively enrolled in a field of study such as logistics, supply chain management, industrial engineering.
III. Must be able to comprehend technical information pertaining to the commercial aircraft industry.
IV. Acquire an understanding manufacturing processes.
V. Attention to detail.
VI. Proficiency in MS Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc).
B) Education:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited logistics, supply chain, business or industrial program in upper level classes.
C) Communication Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
D) Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve problems and think strategically.
