Key Responsibilities
• Provide excellent quality products and superior service to your stakeholders
• To adopt the culture of quality basics, and instigate continuous improvement activities
• Maintain and work rigorously to company procedures
• To ensure the product integrity for component or system is delivered through alignment of Method of Manufacture with Design Intent by interfacing with appropriate Design Engineering organisation
• To ensure the implementation of quality tools within suppliers
• Support part transfers between suppliers as part of a cross functional team. Ensure that all quality criteria are considered, risks identified and managed, latest revision of design definition is met and first article validation processes are complied with.
• Manage suppliers improvement plans to reach a target of zero defects through use of tools such as 8D, PFMEA and MSA.
• Conduct and validate relevant assessments including Manufacturing Capability for new and existing supply chains
• Work closely with suppliers where delivery/quality performance has deteriorated and could impact production/assembly. Identify root cause of issues, compile action plan, and resolve problems
• To provide first article validation through the company process
• To manage the responses to Corrective Action Reports
• To support & influence commodity, group and supplier strategies and sourcing decisions with technical knowledge including (but not limited to) supplier rationalisation and low cost sourcing programmes.
• To schedule and perform supplier audits
• Define and effectively implement process improvements in order to improve service performance and reduce lead times for supply.

Candidate skills & requirements

Candidate skills & requirements

• Knowledge of quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, 6 Sigma etc)
• Team Player, ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality
• Strong ‘can do' attitude
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures
• Good communication skills- verbal and written
• Experience working in cross functional teams and using influencing, planning and organisational skills
• Knowledge and experience of aerospace assembly and quality procedures highly desirable. Experience in other highly regulated industries will be considered.
• Knowledge of quality standards (EN 9100) and regulations (EASA Part 21) highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of the French Language preferable.
• Qualified lead auditor preferable
• Degree or HND in engineering preferable or experience to compensate.
• Experience in other relevant business sector
• Aerospace Industry is preferred, experience from other highly regulated industries considered
