Safran Aerosystems' Wall Township, New Jersey facility serves as the North American headquarters for our Evacuation Systems Business Unit (SEV). The Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, controlling, and maintaining inventory of raw materials, purchased parts, sub-assemblies, supplies, and customer-furnished property. This role is critical to supporting manufacturing and operational requirements by ensuring inventory accuracy, proper material handling, traceability, and timely availability of materials. The Stock Clerk works closely with Receiving, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics teams to maintain efficient inventory operations while adhering to company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, unload, inspect, and properly store incoming materials, raw stock, parts, sub-assemblies, customer-furnished property, and operating supplies.
Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, transfer documentation, receiving reports, and other supporting records to ensure accuracy of quantities, part numbers, and shipment routing.
Report discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or documentation issues and assist with resolution activities.
Sign bills of lading and receiving documentation as authorized.
Maintain accurate identification, labeling, and traceability of inventory in accordance with company procedures and quality requirements.
Store materials following established stockroom and inventory control procedures while ensuring efficient utilization of storage space.
Relocate, reorganize, and consolidate inventory as needed to improve material flow and accessibility.

Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
•Minimum of 3 months to 1 year of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, inventory control, manufacturing, or related environment preferred.
•Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or computerized inventory transactions preferred.
•Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Knowledge/Skills
•Ability to accurately receive, store, issue, and track inventory materials
•Basic inventory control and cycle count knowledge
•Ability to read and interpret work instructions, operating procedures, safety rules, and inventory documentation
•Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals
•Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory recordkeeping
•Ability to operate computer systems and perform inventory transactions
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and/or inventory management software
•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and team members
•Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•Knowledge of material handling practices and warehouse safety procedures
•Familiarity with manufacturing and inventory terminology
•Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

Forklift Certification preferred, if applicable to facility operations
Physical Demands
•Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, use hands and fingers, and move throughout warehouse and manufacturing areas.
•Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift inventory materials.
•May occasionally be required to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Required to visually inspect materials, labels, inventory documents, and computer screens.
•Ability to operate material handling equipment and warehouse tools as required.
•May be required to use stairs, ladders, or step stools to access storage locations.
Work Environment
• Work is performed primarily in a stockroom, warehouse, and manufacturing environment.
• Employee may work near moving mechanical equipment and powered industrial vehicles.
• Regular exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and industrial materials may occur.
• Occasional exposure to chemicals used in manufacturing and warehouse operations.
• Noise levels are generally moderate but may occasionally be higher in manufacturing areas.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated work areas.
• Adherence to all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures is required.
