Job Description
The slide shop lead technician provides service and repair of mechanical, electronic and other equipment requiring technical knowledge and expertise, effective diagnostic and repair techniques and procedures related to a wide variety of equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Plans, directs and supervises all operations performed in the area of responsibility in a manner that will ensure optimum results in the following areas of control and administration:
• Adherence to established repair schedules (date & quantities) as established by customer demands
• Proper control of workmanship to meet quality standards and hold rework & scrap to an acceptable frequency
• Establishes and maintenance of well-organized and efficient methods, operations and work flow to realize the maximum or optimum output for labor and/or machine time expended
• Directs and coordinates all operations in cooperation with other departments in a manner that will ensure attainment of established objectives, plans and schedules
• Directs and coordinates changes in operations and/or general policies as required by management to meet established goals. Coordinates and direct the systematic implementation of these changes with the other US service centers
• Directs the preparation of and/or prepare established or special reports to management showing accomplishments and other pertinent or requested information
• Implements and oversees that internal department instructions and procedures are followed
• Maintains a sound plan of departmental organization to best facilitate the management, control and coordination of operations in the service department
• Maintains satisfactory personnel relations to ensure just and equitable treatment of all personnel in accord with policies of the division, promotes cooperation throughout the organization and stimulates all employees to their best efforts.
• Ensures that all operations are carried out in an adequate and safe manner and with proper protection to the employees and to the division.
• Directs the maintenance of machinery and equipment used in department operations
• Responsible for implementing personnel procedures.
