Job Description

In this position the Senior Structural and Mechanical Fitter installs and repairs mechanical and structural components.

The Senior Structural and Mechanical Fitter's tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation

• Performing functional tests and adjustments on aircraft systems

• Applying sealants

• Application of surface protection

• Beeing a mentor for newcomers

• Diagnosing mechanical or structural problems

• Riveting

• Drilling (metal and composite materials)

• Touch-ups on manufactured metal parts

• Panel installation

Complementary Description

This job request is specifically for Senior experienced mechanical and structural worker who wish to act as a technical expert and being a mentor for newcomers.

Job Requirements

• Strong aviation/mechanical education and practical training required

• Good English skills, German would be an advantage

• Team-player in an international team

• Willingness to work in shifts at the Airbus plant in Hamburg
