Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality control and assurance functions of our repair station, which employs approximately 35 employees. This key leadership role ensures compliance with FAA regulations, maintains the AS9110 Quality System, and supports both internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, customers, and internal teams while fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all repair station operations.

• Oversee all quality assurance and control functions for a repair station of ~35 employees, ensuring work performed under the repair station's certificate complies with RSQM and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain effective communication with the FAA, other regulatory agencies, and customers, including handling technical and regulatory inquiries.

• Investigate nonconformance reports, product escapes, and rejection rates; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Conduct routine internal audits, coordinate external audits, and ensure timely reporting and resolution of findings.

• Maintain repair station capability lists, technical records, and documentation in compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards.

• Develop, deliver, and manage initial, recurrent, and remedial training programs for personnel, track OJT, certifications, and compliance with the Training Program Manual.

• Establish, maintain, and improve quality policies, procedures, and processes, including calibration and scrap procedures.

• Collaborate with site management and CIHSE to ensure HSE compliance and address any safety concerns.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including data collection for product improvements and inspection criteria modifications.

• Mentor, coach, and develop personnel to strengthen technical expertise and foster a high-performance team.

Candidate skills & requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred.

• Minimum of five years' experience in QA/QC within an aerospace/aviation MRO environment.

• Minimum of five years' experience with FAA regulations and repair station operations.

• Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO, FAA/EASA regulations, quality tools, NDT procedures, and geometrical tolerances.

• Demonstrated ability to write technical documents, interpret drawings, specifications, and regulatory guidance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Quantum).

• Auditing experience and previous supervisory experience, including leading cross-functional teams.

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license and/or FAA repairman certificate, or ability to obtain; must comply with 14 CFR Part 65.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
