Job Description
Perform a wide variety of physical and administrative inspection duties supporting the receipt of all items coming into the repair station including: incoming material for warehousing, incoming articles for repair, as well as items repaired by outside vendors for the Repair Station. The Receiving Inspector will inspect all incoming articles for condition and appropriate documents. Inspection criteria will include but not limited to possible shipping damage, missing parts or other anomalies that occurred prior to arrival. The receiving inspector will review incoming shipments to confirm required accompanying documents are present and accurate including Repair Order, Certificate of Conformance, PMA, 8130s etc are present and accurate to the item / material received. The receiving inspector will document all findings in appropriate paper or digital formats as required including opening work orders, updating receiving / quarantine logs. Will coordinate with CSRs and production managers to address receiving issues distribute to the work centers when all is in order. Will maintain the facility quarantine locker and associated log.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect all received articles / materials and verify that the quantity, part numbers, and work scope are correct and correspond to the documents received.
Inspect incoming parts against repair stations capability list.
Quarantine all items non-conforming material and initiate corrective actions with CSRs or appropriate departments to rectify.
Maintain the Repair Stations Quarantine locker including log.
Process receiving transactions including opening work orders and receiving POs for materials are received.
Assist with performing cycle and/or physical inventory counting.
Pull parts from stock to support Sales Orders using a pick list.
Understand and abide by Hazardous Material Handling / Shipping regulations.
Understand and comply with applicable domestic and international shipping restrictions.
Enforce facility safety and security protocol.
May be required to lift up to 50 Lbs
May operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, fork lift.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Job Requirements
a) Knowledge and skills
Aircraft component and warehouse inspection process and procedures
Problem solving-identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information; works well in group problem solving situations.
Technical aptitude including interpreting FAA/EASA regulations and standards as they relate to repair station operations.
Knowledge of computers M3, Lotus Notes and MS Office Suite
Data Entry
E-mail, spreadsheets, word processing and power point
b) Education and/or experience
1 Year Aviation Repair
Knowledge of aviation component repair and repair station operations a plus
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
c) Communication Skills
Must have the ability to generate written communication and strong oral communication, plus presentation skills. Ability to read and review written communication
d) Physical Demands
Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds
