Position Title
Quality Specialist (Aerosource)
Purpose/Overview:
This position reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for assisting him in performing various assigned quality control functions. The Quality Specialist is expected to be an important contributor to the quality of the maintenance performed at Aerosource and to our compliance with regulations and customer requirements. He helps to develop and improve the quality system and the execution of the quality programs
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections of MRO parts.
• Initiate Non-Conforming Reports and Corrective Actions as necessary.
• Advise the Quality Manager of areas of concern in the operations or quality system.
• May perform internal and external audits as required.
• Monitor component maintenance activities and assure conformance to standards.
• Assist in training technical personnel.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Desired profile
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be willing to work in New Jersey for two months before beginning work in Florida.
• 3 years working in an FAA repair station or similar experience.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent years of related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience performing repair and overhaul of complex aircraft components.
• Substantial aerospace MRO industry knowledge.
• Aerosopace manufacturing experience is also desirable.
• Working in an environment with a formal quality system eg. ISO, FAA, AS, etc.
• Understands 14 CFR Part 145 MRO operations and regulations.
• Interface with FAA representatives.
• A&P License or previously held a Repairmen Certificate.

• Intimate knowledge of the Aerosource repair station manual, MFG quality manual, applicable FAA regulations and AS9100.
• Ability to communicate well with production, administrative, QC, engineering and management.
• Excellent reasoning and strong decision making skills
