Job description

Responsible ensuring quality, reliability and performance of software applications and tools products through rigorous testing processes. Collaborates with developers and other team members to design and implement test plans, execute test cases, identify areas for improvement in applications and tools and create technical documentation and user guides. Contributes directly to delivering high quality products to the business.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Test planning and execution. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure applications and tools quality.

• Bug identification and reporting. Identify, document and drack defects in apps and tools. Works closely with development team to facilitate resolution.

• Regression testing. Perform regression testing after code changes and updates to ensure no new defects are introduced.

• Test documentation. Maintain comprehensive and up to date test documentation, including test plans, test cases and test results

• User acceptance testing. Coordinate and support user acceptance testing with end-users and stakeholders. Document results.

• Technical writer. Create technical, functional and user guide documentation for developments.

• Collaboration. Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, project managers to ensure quality is integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle.

• Continuous improvement: Participate in process improvement activities to enhance development and testing methodologies and practices.

• Compliance and standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and company-specific quality standards in all testing efforts.

Candidate skills & requirements

Job Knowledge:

• Experience with bug tracking

• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.

• Strong understanding of tools and software development such as Microsoft Power BI and web applications.

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies for tools and software development

• Knowledge of programming languages: SQL Server (T-SQL), C#, JavaScript, VBA, DAX, Power query.

• Knowledge in programming libraries and frameworks: Jquery, Entity Framework Core, ASP, .NET core MVC, PANDAS.

• Experience in technical documentation and diagramming tools.

• Experience in user guide documentation.

• Experience with test automation tools is preferable.

• Familiarity with version control systems is preferable.

• Experience with performance and load testing tools is preferable.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is preferable.
