Job description

Position Title: Production Team Leader
Essential Job Functions:
• Promotes, trains, and ensures workforce follows all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Oversees functions of production workers and ensures quality of final product.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Studies production schedules and coordinates resources for completion of job assignments.
• Maintains a variety of reports, records and process documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and process procedures.
• Confers with assigned employees regarding process and materials problems and coordinates with support groups in the resolution of problems affecting schedules.
• Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
• Recommends measurements to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product in accordance with quality and LEAN practices.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew in accordance with safety requirements.
• Analyzes and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Supports the documentation, implementation, and maintenance of the ISO procedures and programs to ensure successfully sustaining our ISO Certification and continued compliance to the specified requirements.
• Supports and contributes to LEAN efforts and the support of LEAN development of the workforce including 5S and Kaizen events.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Desired profile

Basic Qualifications:
• Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years' experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in supervising production employees.
