Job description
Position will support various projects associated with the production of our products. In the spirit of teamwork, and in support of the matrix organization, the work may involve slides, slide/rafts, liferafts, and life vests. The successful candidate will be expected to take direction from the sustaining engineering manager and QRQC team leader, take initiative where appropriate and have the ability to effectively communicate with the individuals working in support of Production Support efforts. The position requires strong problem solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, at a fast pace and on multiple
projects. Additional desirable skills include the ability and willingness to take a physical, hands-on approach to engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will be proactive with demonstrated forward thinking capabilities, positive attitude and be self-motivated.
Candidate skills & requirements
• Engineering or related scientific degree from a four-year college or university.
• Must be fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Must be able to clearly and effectively present information to team members and
management in English.
• Have ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and progressing them to completion.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Beneficial to have knowledge or proficiency in CAD.
• Must be able to work independently with little direction.
• Limited, occasional travel to Safran facilities, suppliers, and cement suppliers may be required.
• Be a good integrator and team player.
