Job Description
Team Management
The OSS Operations Leader in Shanghai :
• Is in charge of coordinating any sub-contracted OSS activity, as required by Operations, to achieve the Customer's expectations;
• Will support recruitment of a local core team with the relevant skillset to support and coordinate operations, with local support from Safran China HR team;
• Will maintain professional and technical knowledge within the team and be responsible for monitoring and identifying the relevant training needs supporting adequate product knowledge and competencies to support the Customer and ensure continued support activity;
• Consolidates team planning including on-call periods, holidays, shut-down periods so as to meet Customer expectations in terms of reactivity and continued operations;
• Maintains team staff job results by coaching & counseling employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;
• Contributes to team effort according to Safran standards (Score as a team, Lead by example, Dare to innovate, Embark on a shared vision, Empower people) so as to achieve the targeted results.
Operations Management
The OSS Operations Leader in Shanghai shall :
• Build-up & sustain a solid Customer relationship relying on transparency & Customer satisfaction;
• Deploy operational means for adequate reactivity in line with contractual requirements and escalate issues/stoppers if any;
• Organize regular reviews with the local Sub-Contractors, monitor OSS performance based on KPI's and reports – Follow-up deployment of corrective actions as necessary;
• Issue weekly flash reports to Home Base for adequate visibility on achievements, next steps, risks and opportunities, and support weekly calls accordingly;
• Support regular meetings with internal and external Customers and monitor progress of the action plans agreed;
• Support QRQC sessions (or equivalent quality forum) with Home Base in sharing findings from incoming inspection and/or FAL activity – Support any related investigation if requested ;
• Support achievement of financial objectives and preparation of the annual budget in coordination with the OSS Manager in Tianjin;
• Deploy performance improvement plans locally (focused on operational & financial performance);
• Ensure that internal and external quality rework standards are being applied and regularly checked through flash audits – Define and follow-up corrective action plans as required;
• Support quality audits (internal & external) and follow-up with corrective action until closure of finding if any;
• Support negotiation of rework claims with the Customer, in coordination with the OSS Manager in Tianjin and Program team at Home Base, as deemed necessary.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Focus in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.
Experience: Experience in direct and/or transverse management. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Experience in Aerospace is required.
Computer Skills: Competent with MS Office programs. Knowledge of ERP (e.g. SAP) is a plus.
Other Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to analyze & summarize information, strong financial acumen. Demonstrated ability to deliver against key milestones and cost targets. Emotionally resilient, agile and available, and able to drive projects effectively for excellence against demanding targets in a complex multi-discipline and multi-culture environment. Familiarity with financial planning and general business accounting principles.
Additional Preferred Skills: Ability to resolve problems, innovation skills. Solid understanding of LEAN principles. Experience with performance management, strategic planning, and process improvement.
