Job Description

North America Program Controlling Manager positions offered by Safran Cabin, Inc. (Santa Maria, California). Manages financial controlling of a portfolio of programs within Safran Cabin. Oversees the controlling process and assistance to operational teams on economic issues. Forecasts the main program economic and financial aggregates. Provides support for calculation of margins on contracts, provisions etc. for each accounting period. Ensures the accuracy and relevance of economic forecasts and analyses, as well as ensures transparency and timely reporting on economic situation to operational managers; Manages the validation of sales proposals and program launches process. Monitors RTDI expenditures (RTDI = Research, Development, Technology and Industrialization). Verifies consistency between the costing model and the actual cost of first parts. Coordinates at program level the process of estimating production costs (bills of materials, process sequences, etc.) and analyzes differences, working closely with the site controlling teams and operational staff concerned. Ensures that measures to optimize inventories/work in progress and production costs are sufficiently robust to achieve objectives. Manages the process for preparing and updating the business plan (BP) for the program. Participates in developing justification of accounts (IFRS 15 positions, provisions, inventories and work-in-progress, business plan, capitalization files, etc.). Produces reports and ensures management oversight at the various levels of the company's organization (monitor progress vs. forecasts, analyze differences, etc.).

Job Requirements

The position requires a master's (or foreign equivalent) degree in Business, Accounting, Aerospace Engineering, Project Management or a related field and 3 (three) years of experience in the job offered or in financial controlling of a portfolio including financial analysis, developing financial planning processes, and presenting financial data within the aerospace industry. In lieu of a master's degree, will accept a bachelor's degree and two (2) additional years of stated experience. All stated experience must include financial modelling capabilities. Stated experience must include: building and interpreting business plans; Project management skills; the development and management of cash flow forecasts and strategies, ensuring adequate liquidity for ongoing and future aerospace projects (e.g. identifying cash flow gaps, optimizing working capital, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, and ensuring alignment with project timelines and financial objectives); ERP and management data (purchasing/production module); IFRS standards impacting program and contract accounting including IFRS 15, IAS 38 and similar; reporting and forecasting processes for a major corporation; experience in supply chain process including MRP2, S&OP, PMP and similar.

The expected salary range for this position is between $204,901 - $210,160 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
