Job description



To analyse and categorise manufacturing non conformances and to provide / collate substantiated technical dispositions which ensure the airworthiness of products manufactured on the UK site. To liaise with Product Quality Managers and Customers to obtain authorisation for Major non conformances.

To critically evaluate manufacturing non conformances in terms of the Structural and Safety / Reliability Implications.
Support HSE, Ergonomic and Environmental audits / risk assessments and resolve any associated non conformances whilst playing a full part in associated improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment and support 6S initiatives.

Playing your part
Provide excellent quality products and superior service to your stakeholders.
Classify non conformances in terms of defect category and required disposition as Critical, Major, Minor or Secondary.
Provide substantiated dispositions for Minor non conformances where the UK Site is the Industrial Designer of the Product or has delegated authority.
Provide substantiated dispositions for Minor non conformances where the UK Site is not the Industrial Designer of the Product, by liaison with MRB / Technical personnel on other Aircelle sites.
Propose substantiated dispositions to Customers, via the Quality Department, for Major non conformances.
Maintain accurate and traceable records of non conformances, dispositions and associated stress reports.
Support and complete effective Corrective Actions to resolve both product and quality systems non conformances.

Job requirements

Engineering Degree or equivalent Eng experience
Full delegated MRB authority
(within 5 years of joining)
Excellent understanding of aircraft stress analysis
Good understanding of aircraft design principles and material selection
Good understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes
Good awareness of composite and metallic materials
Ability to obtain Engineering MRB Qualification in line with Aircelle Procedures after suitable training period
Lean or BIT qualification at Six Sigma Yellow Belt or NVQ level 2
