Manufacturing & Engineering Work Experience Placement

Job description

As the successful candidate, you will experience the product life cycle through design, production and inspection. You will have the opportunity to help design a part to specification on computer aided design (CAD) software, produce the part on a 3D printer and carry out the relevant inspection checks.

In addition, during your week with us, you may expect to cover the following areas:

·  • Engineering disciplines
·  • Machining
·  • Assembly
·  • Inspection
·  • Customer Support

On successful completion of this placement, you will be awarded a silver accreditation certificate through the Industrial Cadets.

Job requirements

Due to legal restrictions, you must be at least 15 years old and within academic year 10-12 upon application.

You will have a keen interest in Science and Engineering and be able to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work.You will be self-motivated, hard-working & enthusiastic as well as being a good team player.

Within your cover letter, please consider 3-5 skills you would be keen to develop during your placement. If successful, you will be provided with a log book to monitor and develop the skills identified
