Job description

-Coordinate warehouse activities, and train warehouse personnel to ensure well-coordinated shipping, kitting and receiving plan.
-Ensure that customer units, parts and repairs related are received and shipped in an efficient and timely manner; ensure that parts and repairs are properly inventoried
-Ensure physical inventory consistency and accuracy monitoring with virtual inventory in the ERP.
-Manage transportation carriers, performance and cost in accordance with supply chain strategy and budget.
-Maintains accurate work instructions and procedures for present job duties.
-Manage supply chain and inventory control including: inbound freight, warehousing, order fulfillment, tagging & packing, distribution, and outbound freight to customers.
-Manage logistics providers, monitor performance and cost in line with the budget.
-Manage inventory layout, cycle count and physical inventory as per company requirements.
-Work with the team to design and implement an optimal logistics plan to ensure most efficient processes for supply chain and inventory controls
-Develop, monitor and evaluate performance standards for effectiveness and efficiency in all areas of the warehouse including: optimal space utilization, schedule and coordination of goods in and out of the warehouse.
-Strictly adhere to US and International Trade Compliance laws and regulations.
-Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as Quality, Customer Service, Production, Master Planning and Purchasing.
-Establish and report warehouse productivity KPI's on a monthly basis, in regard to order fill rates, receiving rates, on time delivery and shipping errors, receiving hold log.
-Eliminate waste and implements 5S and other Lean activities.
-Develop cost-saving initiatives through optimizing logistics provider, evaluating flow and monitoring shipping material usage.
-Ensuring that all appropriate safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory
-Plan all warehouse resources and activities in keeping with the company's objectives and targets
-Organize and prepare reports and inter-departmental communications
-Oversee performance levels of the direct reports to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and execution of corporate policy.
-Depending on the workload, can perform the duties of other Supply Chain functions and train coworkers on his/her job (cross-training in the department highly required to meet fluctuations in demand, improve responsiveness of the department and increase flexibility and overall employees' skill set).

Candidate skills & requirements

-Bachelors degree or logistics with 5 years experience in warehousing and distribution, to include 2 years supervisory experience ; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Service provider performance and contract management required
-Logistics Budget management experience required.
-Advanced computer skills
-SAP Knowledge required
-HSE (Health / Security / Environment) experience related will be a plus.
-Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
