In the role of Liaison Design Engineer IV, you Interface with external and internal customers on installation and bundle assembly issues by coordinating solutions for 2D and 3D Wire Harness Installation Designs. This position contributes to our vision by:

• Perform assigned tasks meeting the organization's expectations for quality, schedule and process compliance.

• Resolves technical problems that would critically affect performance, cost, or schedule.

• Reviews work in progress to ensure that specifications, technical criteria, and performance are maintained.

• Organizes technical aspects of proposal development from bid decision to submittal of proposal to customer.

• Defines and ensures application of business unit best practices and identifies the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools.

• Identify and communicate the need for new and enhanced design requirements.

• Collaborate and coordinate with customer to develop design solutions. Contacts customers, subcontractors and suppliers to exchange technical data and coordinate project execution.

• Ensure design optimization through commonality, cost, weight, producibility, and maintainability of design.

• Investigate and resolve design issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.

• Master's degree in Management or Engineering discipline (preferred)

• 15 - 19 years experience in an engineering classification

• 5 years CAD design (proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design (CATIA, CREO, Pro-Engineer)

• 10 years Electrical/Mechanical design or installation (preferred)

• 5 years Aerospace industry (preferred)

• 3 years Leadership experience
