Job description
The IT Specialist supports day to day technology needs across a multi building manufacturing campus, helping keep production systems, office operations, and facility networks running smoothly. This role is designed for someone with up to a few years of hands-on IT experience who is comfortable troubleshooting issues on the production floor, supporting users across multiple buildings, and contributing to ongoing improvements in the facility's technology environment.
Responsibilities:
-Facility Wide Technical Support — Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple buildings, responding to tickets and on site requests. This includes troubleshooting and resolve issues with PCs, industrial workstations, label printers, scanners, and other equipment used on manufacturing lines to help minimize downtime.
-Systems Administration — Assist with managing user accounts, permissions, and device configurations in Windows environments; support user Microsoft 365 concerns, Active Directory, and other business systems.

-Systems Administration — Assist with managing user accounts, permissions, and device configurations in Windows environments; support user Microsoft 365 concerns, Active Directory, and other business systems.
-Network Assistance — Help maintain wired and wireless networks across the campus, including basic troubleshooting of switches, access points, and connectivity between buildings alongside senior staff being their remote eyes/ears.
-Hardware Deployment & Tracking — Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and shared equipment; keep asset inventories up to date.
-Operational Technology Support — Work with maintenance and engineering teams to support devices and systems that interface with machinery and automation equipment.
-Security & Compliance — Follow cybersecurity best practices, assist with patching and endpoint protection, and support facility IT security requirements.
-Documentation — Maintain clear documentation for equipment, procedures, and network layouts to support consistency and knowledge sharing.

• On-site attendance is required
• Occasional travel to NJ facility (quarterly or as needed)
• Position requires sitting and performing tasks on computer for extended periods of time
• Lifting/moving boxes (PC & related equipment) up to 50lbs.
• Moving, lifting PC's and related equipment
• Manufacturing environment with moderate noise, dust and requirement to wear eye protection in certain areas
• Office setting with normal office noise levels
Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
-Understanding of Windows 10/11 OS environments.
-Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
-Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office, Active Directory, or similar identity platforms.
-Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
-Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
-Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications are a plus:
-Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
-Exposure or familiarization with infrastructure components and their operation (switches, firewalls, access points, UPS, network cabling)
-Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
Education and/or Experience
-Entry level to 2 years of professional IT support or system administration experience.
-Degree in Computer Science from a college, university or trade school is preferred
