Job Description
Within the Business Line Product Support of the Customer Support Service (CSS) of Safran Aerosystems, the ILS service aims to ensure the LSA/ILS activity and the monitoring of entry into service of evacuation and oxygen equipment for new aircraft.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• Participation in the development of BU products as a member of the development team.
• Participation in the tender phase in order to analyze the aircraft manufacturer requirements related to product support:
o Calculation of maintenance costs (DMC)
o Calculation of NRC (Monitored during the duration of the program)
o Compliance with requirements (Tech Pub standards, Customer training)
• Participation in design reviews (PDR, CDR, …)
o Consideration of maintainability in the design
o Consideration of lessons learned from similar systems/equipment in service
• Realization of the Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and associated deliverables (maintainability reports, …)
o Definition of levels, tasks, resources and maintenance times
o Verification of operability requirements (in contribution with the aircraft manufacturer).
o Analysis of tooling needs at aircraft level.
o Management of the detailed content of CMMs (Nomenclature and Procurability, Adaptation of repair, test and test bench procedures)
o Monitoring and compliance with the entry into service schedule (EIS) for the activities of the Product Support division.
• Participation in the continuous improvement of the ILS process and our tools.
• Participation in the deployment of the Safran PROMPT repository in the Aerosystems BUs

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

a) Education
• Bachelor or Master's Degree in General Engineering or ideally Aerospace Engineering
b) Experience
• More than 2 years of ILS, or more than 2 years of experience in aeronautics, in particular in aircraft maintenance or development.
c) Knowledge and Technical skills
• LSA and ILS methodologies/tools.
• Experience in the development of aeronautical equipment and/or aeronautical maintenance.
• Autonomy and ability to manage several projects.
• Ability to drive projects transversely.
• Windows office tools (have initiatives for the creation of tools).
• Having financial knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work several issues in parallel.
• Ability to work in team (internally and with group companies).
• Ability to convince and unify.
• Conscientiousness.
• Customer Service Mentality.
• Knowledge of aeronautical regulations is a plus.
• Intercultural skills are a plus (our clients are worldwide)
d) Communication Skills
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or top management.
• Ability to lead a technical meeting
• Ability to give technical presentations to customers
• Fluent English, ability to speak French a plus.
e) Physical Demands

• Average visual acuity is required; must be able to use video display terminal, and color acuity is required. This job requires better than average manual dexterity; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Must be able to operate moving devises/tools and operate vehicles.
• Ability to travel to customers/OEM or other Safran sites on a short notice (US and abroad)
