Job description
Understand purchasing fundamentals for tactical purchases and administration of procurement transactions for Safran UK affiliates. Actively undertake Purchasing analyst tasks as directed by the Strategic Purchasing Manager.

Desired profile
• Process purchase requisitions and supplier applications for individual sites.
• Managing and negotiating RFQ's and tenders for specific projects.
• Report and deliver cost savings in accordance with process and procedure.
• Proactively manage all projects.
• Monitors supplier performance and contract execution at a strategic level.
• Works collaboratively with Commodity Managers & Purchasing Site Leads (PSL) to understand and support business strategy.
• Provide efficient and effective customer service.
• Promote and encourage stakeholders to benefit from service SSC provide.
• Actively maintain and challenge supply chain.
Travel specifictity
Some UK travel will be required.
Candidate skills & requirements
Experience/Skills
Essential
• Demonstrable experience of working within a Purchasing Department.
• Proficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Able to work with, influence and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience of managing projects and working to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to react, negotiate and manage procurement contracts of variable value.
• Proficient administration, numerical and organisational skills.
Desirable
• Previous experience of working with SAP, or similar package.
• Previous experience of working within an Indirect Purchasing role.
• Previous experience within a dynamic, responsive, fast paced team.
• Experience of working within a Shared Service Centre environment.
• Analytical skills covering written, graphic, numerical & statistical information.
• An understanding of the whole life cycle procurement, contract & relationship management.
Qualifications
Essential
• Educated to Degree level, or above.
Desirable
• Project Management training or qualification.
• Previous Customer Service training or qualification.
• CIPS Qualification.
