Safran Seats GB is proud to announce the launch of its 2024 Apprenticeship recruitment campaign. This year we have 4 opportunities across Health & Safety and Supply Chain/Logistics.

At Safran Seats, we are unique within aerospace, as we interface with both the world's biggest airlines and air framers alike, with the largest seats portfolio of all seats suppliers. One day you could be dealing with one of the world's largest air framers, and the next, some of the biggest airline brands around the world!

In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales.

What is an Apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are Government funded, work-based training programmes for recruiting full-time people ages 16+ (there is no upper age limit) and providing them with the opportunity to combine ‘on the job' training with a nationally recognised. The apprenticeships programme, funded through the Welsh Government supports training costs. The employer who works with an approved training provider carries out most of the training, for Safran Seats this is ACT and University of South Wales.

There are two levels of apprenticeships in operation for non-engineering apprenticeships at Safran Seats GB:

• Higher Apprenticeships that offer a work-based learning programme leading to a Level 3 or 4 qualification; equivalent to a higher education certificate. At the end of this course, you will have completed either a Business Admin L4 or a Supply Chain L3 qualification.

• Degree Apprenticeships designed by industry to bring together the very best in higher and vocational education. At the end of this course will have full Bachelor's in Supply Chain and Logistics.

What will I be doing as an Apprentice?

Depending on the level, that you come into your apprenticeship at will determine your starting point.

During your working time onsite, you will work in specific departments to learn, linked with the assessment criteria for you qualification. The learning necessary and the complexity of the department will determine the length of placement.

• You will have a keen interest in Health and Safety or Supply Chain and Logistic and be able to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work.

• You will possess excellent problem solving abilities.

• The role of apprentice will require you to be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

• You will be a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent planning and organisational skills.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own will be key to your success.

Successful candidates will ideally have achieved, or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSE's - including Math and English - Grade A-C or 4-9.
