Descripción de puesto

The Gate Manager oversees the production areas where he/she works, ensuring compliance with the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People & Improvement objectives, as well as the effective management of the area's resources.

He / she verifies, plans, organizes, directs and controls the work of the operational area, complying with the procedures of the Quality System and the applicable aeronautical authority.

Monitors and facilitates compliance with Health, Safety & Environment, and Quality System rules & policies by all people in their work sector-

Ensures compliance with Instructions, Bulletins, Enginering Specifications, Directives and other documents issued for Engine Maintenance or any if their components.

Integrates, guides, develops, encourages & provides feedback to his / her teams to guarantee technical competence in execution of tasks assigned.

Supervises the Utilization, Productivity & Efficiency of tasks performed by his /her personnel.

Supervises the execution of Master Production Schedule (MPS) fulfilling the area's commitments and promptly escalating aspects that could risk the achievement of the plan.

Coordinates overtime coverage with the staff under his/her responsibility when required to meet the goals.

Executes daily meetings that allows him / her to strictly monitor key performance indicators and establish effective communication to resolve problems that arise in the operation at their level, managing all the resources at their disposal.

Manages the execution of checklists for internal audits or internal assessments of General Planned Inspections, 5Ss, Tools & measuring instruments audit, Autonomous Maintenance, storage of consumable products, and implements corrective and preventive actions to the findings detected previously agreed with their Area Manager.

Ensures that the personnel under his / her responsibility identifies, handles, protects, and safeguards the engine parts at all stages and all the time of the maintenance repair visit.

Leads and/or participates in root cause analysis and investigations that are generated in activities related to their work area or assigned by their Area Manager in order to avoid recurrence of issues.

Collaborates and participates in Customers, Certifying Companies, or Aeronautical Authorities audits. Implements corrective and preventive actions to the findings detected previously agreed with their Area Manager.

Perfil solicitado

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in leadership & management, Mexican Federal Labor Law knowledge, personnel management, manufacturing processes, quality core tools, and lean manufacturing tools. Experience in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul processes, especially in Aerospace industry, is preferred.
