The Field Service Technician will work alongside a Sr. Field Service Technician and acclimating themselves to STC's processes and procedures while working on-site servicing to customer needs. They will travel both nationally and internationally to various customer sites where they will be building, installing, maintaining and repairing large electrical and mechanical equipment and components used to test the performance of aircraft engines. These components and equipment measure up to 25 feet in length, and weigh up to 30 tons.

· Assist with the installation and inspection of Safran Test Cells and 3rd party equipment and performing preventative maintenance at customer sites

· Provide support and back-up troubleshooting for the Field Service Team Manager while in the office and on call

· Perform tasks including wiring, assembling, and installing electrical and mechanical components per engineering drawings

· Provide documentation of all work through expense reports and assisting with installation feedback forms and site reports as needed

· Responsible for the coordination of communications between the Customer, Safran Test Cells' staff, vendors, and sub-contractors during commissioning of the Project

· Assist in handling local issues, including housing and local transportation for Safran Test Cells' personnel, local procurement, and local office management

· Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures

· Other duties as assigned

Candidate skills & requirements

-Technical degree in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline preferred

-Years of experience may vary depending on the level of field service responsibility

-Experience installing automated electro-mechanical systems in an industrial environment is preferred

-Experience installing electrical wiring, conduit, and troubleshooting is preferred

-Must be willing and able to travel extensively for Field Service assignments, including frequent and extended international travel to customer sites under demanding schedules and conditions
