Job description

Mission:

Provide on-site Support at airframer final assembly Line in Hamburg on landing gears, wheels, brakes and landing systems. You will represent Safran Landing Systems in front of the customer and deliver a professional corporate image in line with Safran company standards.

Role & responsibilities:

As a Field Service Engineer, your main task will be to prepare, perform and record interventions on aircraft such as:

· 
Inspection of damages or faults reported by the customer

· 
Rework or replacement of parts and equipment

· 
Embodiment of design changes and specific upgrades

· 
Demonstrate the conformity of our equipment to the customer when applicable

You will be part of a team of 10 Field Service Engineers working in a two shifts system and reporting to the local SLS Team Manager. You will ensure an effective communication within the team and with the production sites in France and England.

As a side activity, you are responsible of one activity such as the management of the tools, spare parts, quarantine or consumables for the whole Hamburg team.

Environnement:

The SLS office is located near the customer site, in a dedicated and recently renovated Safran building with all needed convenience (open space, kitchen, meeting room, changing room, shower, parking for bikes and cars,…).

A workshop is at the disposition of the team for the storage of spares and tools as well as several company cars to drive to the customer site.

Candidate skills & requirements

At least 2 to 3 years' experience as aircraft technician or in a similar position

Ability to read and understand drawings, manuals, and other technical documentation

Good understanding of mechanical & hydraulic products

Customer oriented

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to adapt to continuously changing work conditions while ensuring safe work practices

Autonomous and reliable

Good physical condition and manual dexterity

Familiarity with IT tools and digital best practices
