Job description
We are seeking an experienced logistics personnel to lead logistics operations for a new SED manufacturing plant in Bengaluru. This role supports growth in electronics and actuation sectors and involves establishing and managing local & international logistics and warehouse functions aligned with corporate guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Working proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, shipping methods, and visual management
• Manage the warehouse to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
• Must aware of all Incoterms and its implication and various customs rules and regulation.
• Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
• Responsible for upstream transportation from supplier to company and downstream transportation from company to customer including inter-company transfer.
• Selection of careers for transportation as per delivery priority.
• Issuance of a shipping order, documents required for transport and delivery, steps required for passing through customs, delivery follow-up and their real time status, validation and proof of delivery which makes invoicing possible.
• Manage non-conformities.
• Guarantee that the parts prepared and removed from stock comply with production requirements or customer requirements.
Candidate skills & requirements
• Minimum 2 years of logistic experience, in the electronics or automotive industry with BE + Supply chain would be appreciate.
• Proven leadership capabilities with strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with ERP implementation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
• Strong team player with collaborative and organizational strengths.
