Job description

The Group, which is based on all continents, employs 92,000 people and will generate a turnover of 23.2 billion euros in 2023. It holds leading positions in its markets, either alone or in partnership with others. Safran is engaged in research and development programs that preserve the environmental priorities of its technological innovation roadmap.

You are a member of the European and Multilateral Affairs (DAEM) Directorate within the Group, International and Institutional Relations (DIRI) Directorate.
The DAEM has a mission of expertise and lobbying with European and multilateral institutions (ICAO, NATO in particular)
The Defence, Space and Security Business Officer is responsible for Safran's interface (regulations, programmes and funds) with EU and NATO institutions, and for promoting Safran products and technologies in multilateral markets.
It coordinates the Group's subsidiaries in these two areas of activity.
Missions:
- Monitoring, analysis and definition of influence plans and contacts throughout the decision-making process of European regulations or programmes.
- Producing analysis, synthesis and positions, and presentations
- Coordination of Safran's positions with the aerospace-defense ecosystem, through participation in the work of national and European federations.
- Development of networks of contacts in institutions and agencies
- Representing Safran at meetings of associations and events in the aeronautics and defence trade shows.
- Analysis of issues and opportunities, identification of power and decision-making networks in the institutions and agencies of the EU and NATO
- Management of Safran Bus and central functions with institutional decision-makers
- Coordination of the network of internal experts involved in multilateral defence programmes
- Organization of meetings and events for Safran Executive Committee members

Desired profile

Expérience :
8 years minimum experience in European and multilateral affairs, and business development.
Master of decision-making processes and the functioning of EU and NATO programmes
Knowledge of the aeronautical and defence ecosystem.
Know-how:
Ability to work in a cross-functional role serving internal clients
Ability to facilitate networks
Excellent writing capacity and synthesis mindset.
Ability to negotiate
Trilingual: English + another language of the European Union
Know-how:
Diplomacy, rigour, reliability and sense of hierarchy.
Ability to build compromises
Adaptability, multicultural spirit and good relationships.
