Job description
This internship is for May - August of 2017
Support new product development in providing solutions to problems with electronic circuitry, analog and digital. Analyze problems and identify design solutions as applicable.
- Assist in the develop, design, and modification of products to the defined requirements including analysis, laboratory tests, simulation, and field evaluation to assure compliance to project and customer and industry requirements; prepare the documents required to define the products and show verification and analytics.
- Provide technical assistance to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product.
- Provide test and evaluation support including input to ATP and QTP test plans and procedures.
- Assist in modifying existing products to support customer and manufacturing, to achieve regulatory compliance, and meet applicable industry standards, while satisfying market requirements.
- Analyses electronics and electrical designs (analog and digital) by hand and by using analysis tools such as PSpice.
- Participate on multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams.
- Supports, preparation, review, and approval of the documentation required to define and control products.
- Helps with coordination and support of the prototype manufacturing of products.
- Monitor testing and analyze data to verify performance of the prototype product to customer and design specifications.
- Provide technical support to all internal departments, suppliers, and customers as it relates to the product.
- Assist in new circuit design.

Position Criteria
Some knowledge in analog and digital circuit design, which may include ADC and DAC circuits design, DC-DC converter power supply design, constant current source design, FPGA, microcontroller embedded circuit design
Some hands on experience in bench top prototype circuit verification, familiar with electrical and electronics test equipment.
General knowledge of MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of 3 types of studies (or Associates degree)
Experience in Matlab/Simulink
Knowledge of MatrixOne or other PDM system for documentation control and workflow

Basic Qualifications
- Student currently enrolled in a 4-year Engineering degree program in an accredited institution with at least two years of school completed
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. green card holder), political asylee or refugee
- Strong personal interest in Electrical Engineering
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater
