Job description

- Manage important purchasing projects including scheduling, milestone tracking, status reporting and issue resolution
- Develop request for quotations, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and implement supplier business contracts for regional and national indirect commodities
- Implement and help defining indirect corporate contracts, guidelines and policies
- Collaborate with Safran Purchasing teams to align or implement purchasing strategies
- Develop road map through analyzing the spend and identifying cost reduction opportunities
- Work collaboratively with internal customers to understand and consolidate purchasing requirements from all Safran companies
- Target the best market options against consolidated needs
- Deliver savings per the budget and forecast plan, document and report savings in Safran Purchasing common reporting tool
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure continued quality, timely shipments and contract execution
- Contribute to e-Procurement deployment, ensuring e-Catalogues implementation when it is appropriate
- Within his scope, process purchase requisitions in a timely manner to meet the requester's time frames

Candidate skills & requirements

Job Knowledge and Expertise
- Demonstrate knowledge of the procurement and supply chain industry
- Good knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within purchasing/project management
- Must have advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word & Outlook
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
- Knowledge of English language
- Technical knowledge or Engineering background is a plus
