Job Description

The Commodity Buyer will be in charge of insuring the purchasing performance on a strategic segment. He / She will buy:

• Technical products

• Important spends

• To strong groups

He/She will be the focal point for a strategic panel of Asian Suppliers and will have to:

• Negotiate and implement contracts and associated logistic clauses.

• Propose, negotiate and follow up cost reduction and improvement plans with multi-functional teams from Safran and Suppliers.

• Set up and drive request for quotation from Statement Work redaction to Award of Supplier as per company processes.

• Maintain up to date purchasing and business databases

• Report on these activities

In addition, he / she will:

• Support Industrial Transfer Team to manage industrial transfers in Asia

• Travelling abroad as needed

• Engage and coordinate multi-site operational teams to qualify new routes

• Report to Executive levels on these activities

Job Requirements

Master of Science or Equivalent

First experience in Purchasing, preferably in Aerospace.

English fluent

Autonomous and rigorous

Team player

Good Communication skills

Interested in highly technical products
