Job Description

SAFRAN Helicopter Engines Australia are seeking a suitably experienced Commercial Manager who is responsible to meet or exceed the monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets within their area of responsibility.

Reporting to the Commercial and Strategy Manager, the Commercial Managers main objectives are:

• Increase our Support By the Hour (SBH) penetration within our region

• Ensure our customers are provided with world class customer support both technically and commercially

• Reporting and the achievement of contract budget performance and target equipment turn times

• Supporting the Customer Support Representative team were applicable in delivering results and collective performance

• Managing assigned Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) financial and strategic objectives

• Negotiating new contract agreements with customers

• Responsible to find new business opportunities for site growth throughout the region

• Implementation of systems and methods to achieve the performance is the responsibility of the position

Minimum Qualification & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Business or Sales related and/or Engineering course will be highly regarded

• Sales training/qualification would be advantageous

• Project management training/qualification would be advantageous

• Experience working within a regional OEM Customer Service or Commercial Sales team, including a minimum of 4 years as an Aviation Customer Support Representative

• Operational background in an aviation or engineering organisation

• Good working knowledge and understanding of aviation regulations

• Good knowledge of our regional customer base, and ideally has been part of this community, and is well respected throughout the aviation industry

• A strong sales focus with robust negotiating skills enhanced by a flair for customer service

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products

• Good product knowledge and capacity to learn our product range

• Continuous improvement mindset to consistently improve our processes and procedures to create efficiencies within our business. Actively contribute to our QRQC rituals.

• Understanding of contractual terms and specifications, commercial and technical

• Understanding of quality systems within the Aviation Industry

• Understanding of budget control

• Demonstrated experience & willingness to follow up enquiries until a solution which is satisfactory to the customer is achieved

• Decisive and self-starting attitude

• High attention to detail

• Proactive work ethic and well developed problem solving skills
