Job description
1) Summary of Job Purpose:
Operate and conduct simple set-ups on a variety of conventional and CNC machines. Cleaning, deburring and finishing metal and plastic parts. Setup and managing heat treat ovens and operations.
2) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews blueprints, drawings, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as conventional and CNC machines.
Perform operations loading parts into various deburring/finishing equipment and running based on work instructions.
May be required to setups machines, dimensionally inspect the first piece and adjust setup piece until part meets specification
Communicates with Manufacturing Engineering, Planners, Supervisors and other personnel to resolve machining or assembly problems
Work under general supervision; work is subject to progress and final inspection.
Continuous improvement efforts required.
The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:
Education / Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within

Skills and Abilities:
Skilled in proper use and techniques of precision measuring instruments and other basic hand tools
Proven ability to read and accurately interpret work orders, blueprints, interpret and apply GD&T notations
Excellent verbal communication skills with a sense of urgency and ability to meet the job requirements
Ability to work in an environment that is long and repetitive
At least 3 years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment
