Job Description

Job Title: Assembly Inspector

Location: Gloucester, UK

Salary: £35,787-£37,839

Must have a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ level 3. Starting salary of £35,787 rising to £37,839 upon successful completion of company training Plan + Shift allowances and overtime opportunities.

What will I be doing?

• Working collaboratively with the rest of the team to effectively support production schedules

whilst maintaining quality of our product.

• To be able to inspect the key products within the shop

• To act as a key interface with other internal and external disciplines

• To evaluate and sentence non-conformities within QIS.

• To sentence QIS at level two and send to level three

• To be actively involved in improvement activities including analysis and reduction in repeat

non conformances/HSE deviations

• To take an instrumental role in developing continual quality improvement throughout

production products

• To be able to support production during shifts (Day shift, Bridging shift, Nightshift and

weekend shifts)

• Hold and maintain approvals necessary to authorise the release of complete units (i.e. EASA

Form 1 release signatory)

Job Requirements

What do you need from me?

Experience required:

• Will hold, or have the experience to hold an M-DG Stamp

• Will be able to actively develop the manufacturing process and quality standard to a right first time culture

• Will have an established record of being able to work to tight deadlines and quickly establish credibility with internal and external customers and suppliers.

Technical skills:

• Product knowledge and expertise (i.e. Folio/QIS/PDM/CHEOPS/OSR/MES)

• Knowledge of Safran Landing Systems Quality system to a sufficient level to enable holding of Inspection stamp and signatory status

• Knowledge of problem solving techniques

Specificity of the job

Shift information

Shift work will be required on a 4-shift, 4 week rotation.

This will include :

• Dayshift

• Nightshift – Premium payment - 38.5% of salary

• Bridging shift - Premium payment - 39.75% of salary

• Weekend shift - Premium payment – 59.02% of salary

• You may also be required to work a 5th shift – Premium Payment – 48.7% of salary
