Job description
Description of the Project:
Analysis of machine setup optimizations (SMED) on chosen workstations.
Substantive scope of the project:
·
Identify workstation's bottlenecks in support of planning department.
·
Identify which workstations setups are most impacted by decrease in quantity of batch.
·
Perform analysis of set up times, efficiency, tools used etc.
·
Analyze ways of optimizing of the setup times and propose solutions.
But what else? (advantages, specificities, etc.)
Scope of knowledge that the student will acquire during the internship:
·
Knowledge of process engineering, machines, gears, shafts manufacturing.
·
Fixtures, tooling, tools know how, design .
·
Experience using basic inspection tools.
·
Technical drawing knowledge.
·
Workshop oriented with hands-on experience.
·
Knowledge of set-up SMED analysis.
·
Knowledge of SWCS.
·
Knowledge of the principles of statistical process control (SPC).
