Job description
Description of the Project:
Optimization of shot peening process parameters of bevel gears to increase the depth and value of compressive stresses with simultaneously reducing the size of surface defects (overlaps).
Substantive scope of the project:

Analysis and comparison of PTM results versus shot peening parameters.
·
Identification of parameters responsible for overlaps.
·
Proposal of a improved shot peening program.
·
Preparation and execution of the shot peening process.
·
Analysis of the laboratory report and presentation of results, summary.

Scope of knowledge that the student will acquire during the internship:

Material Science.
·
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards.
·
Knowledge of the shot peening process.
·
Basic knowledge of robot programming.
