Job description
Description of the Project:
Realize a Kaizen workshop to reduce by 10% the production costs for gears.
Substantive scope of the project:
·
Realise a Value Stream Analysis of gears manufacturing.
·
Apply lean manufacturing principles and propose solutions to reduce non value added operations
·
Simulate the cost reduction actions.
·
Support of implementation of first actions (quick win)
But what else? (advantages, specificities, etc.)
Scope of knowledge that the student will acquire during the internship:
·
Observation and identification of value added
·
Wide application of lean manufacturing principles.
·
Definition of solutions in strong cooperation with shopfloor Team.
·
Understanding of Human and Organisational Factors consequences for shopfloor organisation.
Candidate skills & requirements
·
Be able to understand technical documentation in order to challenge or understand the current state.
·
Be opened to innovations, including "soft" changes (social organisation of the shopfloor, ergonomy…).
·
Willingness to understand motivations of each team member, in order to propose "win-win" solutions.
·
