Assist in the reporting and reconciliation of the financial activities of the company, within the framework of the policies, directives or instructions issued by the Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Knowledge of GAAP and proven ability to perform month end close duties
• Prepare accruals and assist in the month-end close process
• Monthly account analyses / reconciliations to verify various General Ledger account balances
• Play a key role in external audit by providing timely and accurate support schedules as requested
• Assist tax department in year-end audit and tax reporting
• Internal compliance: assist with the development, review and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists and related documentation concerning assigned functions and responsibilities
• Manages the data upload into BPC for actual, forecast, & budget purposes
• Assists with cash flow reporting
• Manages the distribution of monthly departmental expense vs. budget reports and assists recipients in understanding the data and providing additional details as required
• Proficiency in MS Excel: V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
• Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture,
• Regular, predictable attendance is required;
• Other duties may be assigned.

Language Skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals-Advanced

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages- Advanced

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations-Advanced
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2 – 4 years of Corporate experience within a manufacturing company (preferred).
Knowledge/Skills
• Understanding of GAAP – Advanced
• Excel skills (Pivot table, V-look ups, sum if, etc.) - Advanced
Supervisory Responsibilities
• In the event it is needed, employee may assist in an Accounting lead capacity
