Job description
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Bookkeeper/ Office Administrator to join their busy property management company to undertake a wide range of administration and bookkeeping tasks.
This role will entail basic accounts work and provides an opportunity to develop bookkeeping skills.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of management accounts
- Credit Control
- Processing of Purchase invoices and expenses
- Processing of Payments and Supplier Reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting in preparation of journals and month end accruals/ prepayments
- VAT returns preparations
- Chasing clients for outstanding money
- Reconciliation of Control Accounts
- Account analysis
- Providing assistance in Financial related matters
- Data Entry
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & personal traits:
- Must have achieved minimum C grade in GCSE for both English and Maths
- Computer literate and good numerical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organised and methodical approach to record keeping and reporting
- Must be willing to learn
- Attention to detail
- Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information
- Self motivated but equally work well in a team setting
- Strong customer service ethic
- Enjoy solving problems
