Job description

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join a Graduate Training Programme to become a Performance & Flight Operations Graduate Engineer in Europe’s favourite airline, Ryanair. Ryanair operates more than 1,600 flights per day from over 76 bases and across 31 countries, with a fleet of over 300 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, as well as options for 100 more Boeing 737 MAX 200s, which will enable Ryanair to lower fares and grow traffic from 100m this year to 160m p.a. in 2024. Ryanair currently has a team of more than 9,500 highly skilled aviation professionals, and has an industry leading 30-year safety record.

The successful candidate will participate in Ryanair’s Graduate Engineering Programme within Flight Operations Department on a Fixed Term Contract which will include both formal training and extensive on job-training across core group Flight Operations disciplines and training provided by third-party training organisations.

Year 1:

Working closely with Chief Pilot’s Office, the successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of Ryanair’s Flight Operations Policies and Procedures and will gain extensive knowledge in the area of Regulatory Compliance and Flight Operations Planning.

Year 2-4:

The successful candidate will join the Flight Operations and Performance Engineering team. Extensive training and courses will be provided to produce a Performance Engineer with the key skills and competencies required to:

·  Perform Airport/runway obstacle analysis and the calculation & provision of Engine Failure Turn Procedures where required.
·  Perform Initial evaluation of new/potential airports Airport Categorisation and airport visits as required.
·  Control & Revise the Ryanair Performance Manual, Load Control Manual & Ryanair Loading Schedule (load sheet).
·  Publish & maintain load control data in accordance with Ryanair Fleet Weight program.
·  Respond & provide feedback to crew on all performance & load control related issues encountered during line ops.
·  Perform Payload/range analysis for potential new routes.

Requirements:

·  Candidates must have qualified in 2014 or 2015 with either 1st class or 2.1 honours degree ideally in a technical discipline (i.e. Aeronautical; Mechanical Engineering).
·  Team oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to self-manage achieving high levels of accuracy, productivity and efficiency.
·  Ability to work to deadlines and to work as part of a team.
·  Excellent Communication skills and telephone manner.
·  Flexibility and ability to adapt to change quickly.
