The Role

We are looking for students of Data Science to work in a multi-disciplined team, working alongside Developers, Designers and Product Owners, who will work on an aspect of a project/projects and help deliver an idea from initial conception to implementation.

What you will get

As part of the internship, you will be exposed to a highly experienced, cutting edge data team that will enable you to develop your skills. You will be assigned a mentor who will have regular 1-2-1 sessions with you to help you through the various aspects of the project and

·  Open source data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, HDFS
·  AWS, Elastic Search, Cloudera
·  SQL Server 2014/2016
·  QlikView, Tableau

Desired profile

Requirements

The Person

·  Proven problem solver – the ability to come up with unique solutions to unique problems
·  Studying in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
·  Knowledge of large data sets using or machine learning techniques such as Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, (Deep) Neural Networks, Hidden Markov Models, Conditional Random Fields
·  Experience with at least one scripting language, e.g. R, Octave, and one programming language, e.g. Python, Perl, C/C++, Java
