My client is a well-established medium sized firm who is currently experiencing growth in business support. Due to this growth, they are now seeking a Legal Auditor to join their highly reputable practice and provide support to the business. The successful candidate will have proven experience in Auditing and must be a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). You will bring a positive attitude and motivation to the firm that will help them to continue to expand. The firm are looking for a committed and passionate Auditor to review and improve the efficiency of the firms businesses and identify and ensure that processes are working as efficiently and effectively as they should. Our client is a strong, growing firm which was founded in 2008 and through diversity and teamwork the business is now providing extensive legal services and guidance to clients across the UK. They have a highly
qualified team which consists of Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, Litigation Executives and a high skilled resource team, who help provide a quality and effective service to all their clients. They also have other key personnel sectors which play a key part in the efficiency of providing a smooth procedure including their Senior Management team, Compliance Officers, Finance and Costs Negotiators as well as their own team of IT technicians. Our client is one of the UK’s leading Personal Injury Solicitors who specialise in, and deal with Personal Injury cases arising as a result of Road Traffic Accidents, Employment and Public Liability claims, Slips and Trips and Industrial Disease.

Required Skills & Experience/ Responsibilities:

• Must have proven experience in Auditing and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
• Have a strong academic background (preferably educated to degree level or equivalent), with an IIA Diploma or IIA Advanced Diploma
• Experience writing reports, including statistical analysis is required as well as practical experience of internal auditing preferably within the legal/financial services arena, however other relevant backgrounds are considerable
• You will be an enthusiastic, highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision whilst demonstrating a high level of credibility and responsibility and must have a good working knowledge of audit and office-based software
• Required to undertake file reviews a d assessing the quality of file handling and safeguarding of the clients interest and evaluating/understanding the firms internal control systems
• Managing the end to end wasted costs process to determine any serious culpability and to ensure that there are preventative solutions in place to reduce wasted costs to an absolute minimum
• Liaising with Senior Management team and Directors to gain a wider knowledge and understanding of the firms business as well as supervising the complaints process for end to end
• Reviewing any known or suspected fraud, error or discrepancies and conducting meetings to gather insight into the firms operations and financial reporting procedures
• Reviewing samples of the firms case files, ensuring they are in good order in compliance with internal policy and procedure and regulatory requirements (e.g. SRA requirements, ISO 9001 frameworks etc.)
• Performing analytical procedures on expected or unexpected variances and testing documentation that supports account balances or classes of transactions

Salary range (DOE): £25,000-£35,000
