Purdey is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join the Purdey Sporting Agency in Royal Berkshire.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
You will be supporting the growth of the Purdey Sporting Agency through the selling, administration, and hosting game shooting.
You will have a passion for and knowledge of the countryside and field sports with a core understanding of commercial shooting and the economic, social and conservational benefits it brings.
The role demands a high degree of commerciality with an eye for detail, customer service and business development to support the ambitious growth of this already highly successful department.
· Sporting agency sales
· Developing our roving syndicate
· Hosting shoot days
· Keeping records and sales CRM up-to-date
· Working with the wider PRB team on charity event events really wild clay days and shooting school tuition
· Developing our overseas shooting sales
· Maintaining our existing client base whilst bringing in new business
· Maintaining our existing portfolio of trusted estates whilst developing further our portfolio with high-quality estates
· Liaising often with Estate contact managers and keepers to return and nurture these relationships
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
· A full U.K. driving licence and shotgun certificate are required.
· Commercially focused; understand financial figures to meet a budget
· Experience within the field sports industry is essential / proven track record as a shooting instructor
· Flexible, with an appreciation for prompt communication to clients and colleagues
· Strong organisational, planning skills, fully IT literate and familiar with an office environment
· Discreet, confidential and trustworthy
· Ability to initiate contact and communication to build strong relationships
· Diplomatic and courteous with a “can-do” approach
· Ability and enthusiasm to engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds
· Adaptable to constantly changing scenarios and able to manage uncertainty
· A natural host with charm and high standards
