Senior Retail Accountant
(12 month FTC, Full-Time)
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Focus on key projects within the Retail Accounting team including balance sheet reconciliations, process improvements and business partnering of retail and/or ecommerce team.
Key responsibilities:
· Be the subject matter expert in all aspects related to Retail and Ecommerce accounting and be able to advise the boutiques and ecommerce teams
· Own the reconciliation and clearing of various GL accounts, such as trade debtors, VAT and deposits
· Ensure that all month-end closing tasks are delivered accurately in line with Group policy
· Identify and implement clear and efficient processes for AR management
· Support on the project to improve the department store cash and commission reconciliations
· Dedicated brand support for Watchfinder
· Support the continuous improvement of Watchfinder's bespoke ERP system from a RBO perspective
· Ensure completeness of documentation and retention for audit purposes
· Ensure compliance to local internal control policies and procedures by supporting on local training, communications, analysis and reporting
· Attend boutique stock counts as required
· Assist with any other tasks/projects, as required
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
Technical Skills/Abilities:
· Proven experience in managing balance sheet accounts and reconciliations
· Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP
· Experience with accounts receivable processing
· Experience in internal and external audit submissions
· Ability to learn new ERP systems quickly
Personal Skills:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-oriented.
· Strong stakeholder management skills.
· Willing to travel to London office at least 1 day per week, flexible to business needs
